On 22 May 2019, the ambassador Victor Moraru delivered a statement to the 2019 Operational Activities for Development Segment of the ECOSOC in which he reaffirmed the Republic of Moldova’s support for the implementation of the most far-reaching and comprehensive package of reforms in the history of the UN development system (UNDS). The ambassador stressed that a repositioned UNDS should play a greater role in relation to the overall efforts to finance the SDGs, including supporting governments to leverage partnerships and financing from private and other sources of funding.
