On 30 April 2019, speaking before the Preparatory Committee for the 2020 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), Ambassador Victor Moraru called upon all NPT States Parties to stepping up global efforts against nuclear proliferation and ensuring a responsible development of uses of nuclear energy. He also stressed that the 2020 Review Conference must advance the goal of achieving full and effective nuclear disarmament.
